Abstract: Abstract: Brain Tumour Detection System is a deep learning-based automated medical imaging solution designed to detect and classify brain tumours from Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans. The system integrates a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with advanced image preprocessing techniques including resizing, normalization, and noise reduction to automatically extract spatial features from MRI images and classify them as tumorous or non-tumorous. The system applies data augmentation methods such as rotation, flipping, and scaling to improve model generalization and reduce overfitting. Using deep learning frameworks TensorFlow and Keras with a MobileNet/2 backbone, the system achieves approximately 94.19% classification confidence. The system also supports explainability through Grad-CAM visualization, enabling medical professionals to visually understand model predictions and improve diagnostic confidence in clinical decision-making.
