Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE SPELLER CONTROLLED BY CHROMATIC VISUAL EVOKED POTENTIAL The present invention provides system for text entry through brain signals. The proposed system can be used as a communication medium for motor-impaired persons to communicate with other people or computers. This system comprises a front-end graphical user interface (GUI) containing symbols and operators for text formulation, a back-end EEG unit to acquire EEG signals corresponding to user gaze on said GUI, process said EEG signals for generating corresponding control commands and an integration unit operatively linking the front-end GUI and back-end EEG unit through shared memory for transmitting the control commands to GUI for enabling real-time text entry.
