MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611086399 A) filed by Chandigarh University on July 15, 2026, for Boundary-Responsive Haptic Mouse Control System With Adaptive Cursor Sensitivity And Active Physical Feedback.

Inventor includes Pankaj.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a boundary-responsive computer input system for adaptive cursor control and tactile user interaction. The system comprises a physical mouse with independently motorized omni-directional spherical tires, a motion processing unit, a graphical user interface, a memory unit, and a configurable control frame. Cursor sensitivity is dynamically adjusted based on a ratio between the control frame area and the display area to improve precision within a selected workspace. When the cursor approaches or crosses the frame boundary, the motion processing unit actuates one or more spherical tires to generate controlled opposing forces that provide tactile guidance, movement resistance, and corrective positioning of the mouse. The system further supports customizable frame geometries, application- specific operating profiles, velocity-dependent calibration, and AI-assisted user-intent prediction to optimize force generation, thereby enhancing cursor accuracy, user ergonomics, and operational efficiency in precision computing applications.
