Abstract: Abstract Book Usage Prediction and Intelligent Shelf Illumination System The present invention relates to a book usage prediction and intelligent shelf illumination system comprising a processing unit, a plurality of sensing modules, a sensor fusion module, a prediction engine, an illumination control module, illumination units, a memory module, a wireless communication module, and a power management module. The sensor fusion module generates contextual information from multiple sensing modalities, while the prediction engine determines probable book usage events and identifies the corresponding shelf region requiring illumination. The illumination control module selectively activates and dynamically regulates illumination parameters based on predicted user interaction, environmental conditions, historical usage information, and sensor confidence values. The system minimizes unnecessary lighting activation, reduces energy consumption, improves user convenience, and provides predictive, context-aware illumination suitable for residential, institutional, commercial, and library bookshelf environments.
