MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641086274 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on July 14, 2026, for Blood Vessel- Aware Adaptive Laser Control System For Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
Inventors include Anubrata Majumdar; Abhijay; Arkajit Chaudhuri; Sangeetha R. G; and Hemanth. C.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A system 100 to real-time detect blood vessels 104 to automatic control laser operation includes an array of piezoelectric sensors 110 embedded with head 108 of a probe 106 to acquire mechanical signals from tissues 102; a laser generation module 214; and a server unit 202 including a plurality of working modules, at least one database 224, one or more processors to receive real-time mechanical signals captured by the probe 106 from biological tissue 102 of a patient; convert mechanical signals into electrical signals through piezoelectric sensors 110; process signals after amplification and filtering to extract relevant physiological features comprising pulsation frequency and amplitude; apply signals through a decision and control logic module 220 to classify type of tissues 102 and presence of blood vessels 104 to control laser operation; and provide real-time assistance, alerts, and feedback through visual, audio, or hepatic means to perform operation by a surgeon.
