Abstract: Title: BLOOD SLIDE STORAGE RACK WITH DIGITAL RETRIEVAL FACILITY 5 The titled invention discloses a blood slide storage rack with digital retrieval facility is particularly suited for hospital pathology departments, blood banks, and diagnostic laboratories requiring efficient and accurate archival and retrieval of large volumes of blood slides. This comprises a storage cabin enclosing a rotary storage rack (6) driven by a stepper motor(8) via an endless belt (9) over dual axles(7), with multiple 10 compartments (11) and slotted racks (11) for holding individual blood slides. Each slide is assigned a unique identity code that is stored in a digital database within a control interface (4). A control panel (2) and LCD monitor (3) allow users to enter and track slide identities. After entry of a slide code, the control interface (4) activates the stepper motor (8) to rotate the rack along an elliptical path until the target compartment aligns 15 with a front access door(12), while simultaneously illuminating an LED indicator(13) adjacent to the specific slide to guide the user. The system eliminates manual searching, reduces retrieval time to seconds, prevents handling errors, and maintains a digital log for traceability. The transparent glass cabin (5) provides visual monitoring and contamination protection, while safety interlocks and an emergency stop ensure 20 secure operation.
