Abstract: The present invention relates to a Blockchain-IoT based product lifecycle management system (100) for secure and automated lifecycle governance of products. The system comprises IoT sensing devices (102), edge gateways (104), within a permissioned blockchain network (106), and a smart contract engine (110). The IoT sensing devices (102) monitor product conditions including temperature, humidity, location, tampering events, and expiry information during manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, retailing, recall, recycling, and disposal stages. The edge gateways (104) preprocess, authenticate, encrypt, and transmit sensor data to the blockchain network (106) for immutable lifecycle recording. The smart contract engine (110) automatically executes inventory replenishment, purchase order generation, transportation monitoring, counterfeit detection, recall activation, quarantine management, reverse logistics scheduling, recycling initiation, and environmentally responsible disposal of defective or expired products. The invention improves lifecycle traceability, operational automation, compliance monitoring, fraud prevention, and sustainable product governance.
