Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a framework of blockchain and machine learning-based integrated approach for detecting and verifying fake news in social media refers to a sophisticated framework that aims to improve the integrity, reliability, and transparency of digital information shared through online social media. The framework integrates machine learning techniques and blockchain technology in order to detect and classify fake news in real-time. The integration of the machine learning algorithms helps in detecting fake news based on their textual characteristics, behaviors, semantically and credible information analysis. At the same time, the blockchain technology enables secure storage of verified news data and immutability of sources of information, along with transparency of the verification process devoid of any centralization of power. Decentralized consensus protocols have been employed in the framework to ensure non-tampering of information that has been validated through the process of verification. FIG.1
