Inventors include Dr. S. Hemaswathi; R. Sivagurunathan; and B. Theva Hari Prasath.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT • Title: BLOCKCHAIN-INTEGRATED DYNAMIC ACCESS CONTROLLED DECENTRALIZED FILE STORAGE AND SHARING SYSTEM The titled invention discloses a blockchain-integrated decentralized file storage and dynamic access-control system. The system stores digital files on a decentralized storage network (5) such as IPFS while recording corresponding file identifiers on a I o blockchain through a smart contract access control layer (4) using a blockchain interaction layer (3). The smart contract access control layer (4) enforces ownership validation and dynamically manages permission rights, allowing users authenticated through a user authentication module (1) to grant and revoke access to specific blockchain addresses. Unlike conventional centralized cloud storage systems, the 15 proposed invention eliminates dependency on centralized servers and third-party intermediaries by implementing tamper resistant, on-chain authorization mechanisms through the smart contract access control layer (4). The system ensures transparent file ownership tracking, secure retrieval through a file retrieval and permission validation mechanism (6), and revocable decentralized sharing. By combining 20 distributed storage within the decentralized storage network (5) with blockchain-based access control via the smart contract access control layer (4) and interaction through the frontend application layer (2) and blockchain interaction layer (3), the invention provides enhanced security, immutability, and user-controlled data management suitable for secure digital asset storage and collaborative file-sharing environments.
