Abstract: The present invention provides a blockchain-integrated device for verifying data integrity and controlling access within a distributed database environment. The device communicates with multiple database nodes and comprises an authentication module, access-control policy engine, cryptographic integrity generation module, blockchain transaction module, integrity verification module, synchronization controller, and audit module. Cryptographic integrity values associated with database records or data groups are recorded with transaction metadata on a blockchain, while the underlying operational data remains within the distributed databases. Upon receiving an access request, the device authenticates the requester, evaluates applicable access policies, verifies the integrity of the requested data against a blockchain- recorded integrity commitment, and generates an access decision based on the authorization and integrity results. Authorized modifications cause updated integrity values and corresponding security events to be recorded, thereby providing continuous integrity verification, controlled access, synchronization support, and a tamper- evident security history.
