Abstract: Blockchain for Transparent Carbon Credit Tracking and Sustainable Supply Chain Management is the proposed invention. The proposed invention discloses blockchain based intelligent platform for transparent carbon credit tracking and sustainable supply chain management through the integration of consortium blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) enabled Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV), Artificial Intelligence (AI) based carbon emission estimation, Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), Digital Product Passports (DPPs), and smart contracts. The system collects operational and environmental data from manufacturing sites, logistics networks, energy systems, and supply chain participants in a continuous fashion through connected sensors and enterprise platforms. An AI engine calculates accurate product and process level carbon emissions using standardised emission factors and predictive analytics. Zero-Knowledge Proofs allow private verification of emissions calculations without revealing sensitive business data, while smart contracts automate validation of verified emission reductions and tokenised carbon credits with unique digital identities. Each product includes a Digital Product Passport that securely stores immutable lifecycle information such as the origin of raw materials, production history, carbon footprint, transportation emissions, sustainability certifications, and corresponding carbon credits. All carbon credit transactions, ownership transfers, trading activity, retirements and compliance records are permanently recorded on a permissioned blockchain to ensure transparency, traceability and protection against fraud or duplicate credit issuance. The platform also provides intelligent sustainability analytics to predict future emissions, evaluate supplier sustainability performance, detect operational anomalies and recommend optimised carbon reduction strategies.
