Abstract: The present invention discloses the development of a zero-trust authentication model using blockchain technology to ensure secure management of digital identities in a distributed environment. The system uses a never trust but verify methodology in authentication through constant validation of the user, devices, application, and access request before being authorized access. The use of a blockchain ensures the system has tamper-proof storage and decentralized verification of identity credentials, authentication process, access policy, and trust records minimizing reliance on centralized identity repositories. The Zero Trust authentication framework incorporates multiple techniques such as multi-factor authentication, cryptographic keys management, device posture analysis, risk-based access control, and smart contracts in ensuring automatic authentication and authorization of identity. Dynamic evaluation of trust ensures that the system analyses various contextual factors and modifies the access rights based on the risk level. FIG.1
