Abstract: The present invention provides a blockchain-based IoT platform for secure authentication, authorization, and data exchange among heterogeneous IoT devices, gateways, edge nodes, and cloud services. The platform employs cryptographically verifiable device identities, distributed ledger records, smart-contract-based access control, secure data transmission, and dynamic trust management. Device registration, authentication events, credential status, authorization decisions, and data transaction metadata are recorded through a blockchain network to provide tamper-evident security records. Exchanged IoT data is cryptographically protected, while a corresponding digest and transaction information may be stored on-chain and the data payload retained in off-chain storage. A trust management mechanism evaluates security-related device behavior and can initiate access restriction or credential revocation when a security condition is detected. The platform thereby provides distributed authentication, controlled data exchange, integrity verification, provenance tracking, and scalable security for heterogeneous IoT environments.
