The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The current Domain Name System (DNS) operates in a centralized manner, which makes it vulnerable to various cyber threats such as DNS spoofing, cache poisoning, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and domain hijacking. These security issues highlight the need for a more secure and reliable alternative. To address this challenge, this project proposes a Blockchain-Based Decentralized Domain Name Service (BD-DNS) integrated with an intelligent AI Manager to improve domain security, transparency, and automation. In the proposed system, domain records are stored on a blockchain network, ensuring decentralization and eliminating single points of failure. Because blockchain data is immutable and tamper-resistant, unauthorized modifications become extremely difficult. Smart contracts are used to automate key processes such as domain registration, renewal, and ownership transfer, thereby reducing manual intervention and improving efficiency. In addition, an AI-powered management module continuously monitors domain activities. By analyzing traffic patterns using machine learning algorithms, the system can identify unusual behaviors such as phishing attempts, abnormal query spikes, or potential cyberattacks. When suspicious activity is detected, the AI Manager generates alerts and recommends appropriate corrective actions. Overall, this integrated approach enhances domain reliability, strengthens cybersecurity, and enables intelligent, automated domain management. The solution supports the vision of a more secure, decentralized, and trustworthy internet infrastructure.
