Abstract: In this invention, a Blockchain Based Campus Digital Currency System (C-COIN) is provided for enabling secure, transparent, and controlled cashless transactions within educational institutions. The system comprises a Web Application, User Authentication module, Wallet Interface, API Server, Database, Blockchain Network, and Smart Contracts. Students, vendors, and administrators are authenticated and provided with role-based access to the appropriate system functions. Authorized students can maintain C-COIN in digital wallets and use the currency for approved campus services, while registered vendors can receive and manage digital payments. Transaction requests are processed through the API Server and validated using blockchain-based smart contracts according to predefined campus rules, including user authorization, available balance, transaction limits, and vendor eligibility. Validated transactions are recorded on the blockchain to provide tamper-resistant transaction history, transparency, and traceability. The Database maintains application-level information such as user profiles, wallet details, vendor records, and transaction references. Administrators can monitor transactions, manage authorized users and vendors, establish currency policies, and review system activities through an administrative interface. The system may additionally support QR-based payments, real-time balance updates, transaction notifications, and transaction history. By integrating digital wallets, institutional authentication, backend processing, and blockchain-based smart contracts, the proposed C-COIN system reduces dependency on physical cash and provides a secure, convenient, and scalable digital payment infrastructure specifically designed for campus environments. 5 Claims & 1 Figure.
