The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: 7. ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Sutures are widely used in clinical applications for wound Closure, with advancements making them more comfortable and user-friendly. They are classified into absorbable and non absorbable types, made from natural fibres and synthetic polymers such as silk, polyester, polyamide, chitosan, and polyethylene. These materials are processed using techniques like extraction, purification, polymerization, and spinning methods, including dry spinning, wet spinning, electrospinning, and melt spinning. Sutures are favoured for their cost-effectiveness, stability, and compatibility, and they also serve as drug delivery systems. This invention focuses on developing a hybrid suture using polymers like alginate, pectin, and cellulose, aiming to enhance stability, tensile strength, and drug release capacity. The suture will be prepared through wet spinning by optimizing the composition and concentration of these polymers. After synthesis, the suture material will be loaded with drug(Aegle mannelos) extract to achieve sustained drug release, which will improve its functionality in clinical applications. This invention aims to ·create a suture as a hybrid suture with improved performance, stability, and therapeutic potential for wound.clusure in medical applications
