MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647113991 A) filed by The Automation Partnership Cambridge Limited on September 23, 2026, for Bioprocessing Base, Bioprocessing Station And Bioprocessing System.

Inventors include Huttlestone, Daren Stephen; and Stacey, Adrian.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: Shown and described is a bioprocessing base (1) for performing a bioprocess, comprising: a base body (2) comprising: base alignment means (3), one or more interface elements (4) adapted to support and preferably accommodate a bioprocess component (18), and pumping means (8), preferably a peristaltic pump head; an adapter module (9) comprising: one or more fluidic valve actuators (10); and optionally at least one electrical connector (11). In order to perform different and/or multiple operations for a bioprocess, preferably cell and/or gene therapy, while providing an improved handling, the described bioprocessing base (1) is proposed. In addition a bioprocessing station (17), a bioprocessing system (27), a use of a bioprocess component (18) in combination with a bioprocessing base (1) and a method of processing a biological sample in a bioprocessing system (27) are also described and shown intended for performing different and/or multiple operations for a bioprocess, preferably cell and/or gene therapy, while providing an improved handling.
