Abstract: The present invention relates to a biodegradable composite bioplastic film prepared from naturally available poultry and seafood processing wastes, namely chicken feathers, crustacean shells, and fish scales. The invention utilizes keratin extracted from chicken feathers as the primary protein matrix, chitosan extracted from crustacean shells as a reinforcing biodegradable polymer, and fish scale-derived biomaterials to enhance the structural and thermal properties of the composite. Glycerol is incorporated as a biodegradable plasticizer, while gelatin and carboxymethyl cellulose function as reinforcing and film-forming agents. The bioplastic is prepared through extraction of the natural biopolymers, followed by controlled blending, solution casting, and oven drying to obtain smooth, flexible, and biodegradable films.
