Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent umbrella system incorporating biometric authentication, physiological monitoring, secure operation, and weather- responsive functionalities for enhancing user safety, convenience, and personalized health management. The system comprises a sensor-integrated handle grip configured to acquire physiological parameters, including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (Sp02), and body temperature, during normal usage of the umbrella. A fingerprint sensor enables personalized user authentication and restricts access to authorized users, thereby preventing unauthorized operation. A UV sensor positioned on the umbrella monitors ultraviolet radiation exposure and generates user alerts when predefined thresholds are exceeded. An actuator-based deployment mechanism automatically performs opening and closing operations of the umbrella upon successful authentication under the control of an ESP32 microcontroller. The system further incorporates a GPS module for real-time location tracking, facilitating loss prevention and theft management. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the integrated electronic components through a motor driver and power management unit. The intelligent umbrella communicates with a dedicated mobile application that provides weather forecasting information, health analytics, UV exposure notifications, theft alerts, location tracking, and system status updates. The invention thereby provides a multifunctional, secure and user-centric smart umbrella for everyday applications.
