Abstract: The invention relates to biometric animal identification and secure record access. A system includes a registration capture device, a base-frame selection module, a region-of-interest detection and cropping module, an image enhancement module, a feature extraction module, a biometric template repository, a metadata capture and bonding module, a physical tag, a verification portal, a matching engine, a threshold decision and access-control module, and a conditional data-release module. A registration nose image is selected, cropped, contrast-enhanced, and processed to generate binary descriptors stored with protected record data, time-stamp, and geo- location. Upon scanning the physical tag, the verification portal captures a live nose image, generates live descriptors, and compares them with stored descriptors to produce a similarity score. Protected record data is released only when the score satisfies a predefined threshold, thereby enabling geo-tagged, privacy-controlled animal verification and recovery.
