MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110177 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on September 14, 2026, for Biomedical Equipment Maintenance System.
Inventor includes Dr. Muralidhar L B.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: A biomedical equipment maintenance system, comprises a plurality of biomedical units 101 deployed in a healthcare facility, at least one interface gateway 102 to acquire equipment condition data, a digital twin engine 103 to exemplify and continuously update a digital twin for each biomedical unit 101, a clinical dependency graph engine 104 to maintain a time varying directed graph representing clinical dependencies between biomedical units 101 and clinical-use entities, a causal reliability engine 105 to compute a maintenance risk using simultaneous evaluation of at least equipment health state, clinical criticality, maintenance resource state, and patient dependency state, and to compute a failure propagation risk by propagating system level risk through directed graph, a reliability tensor engine 106 computes maintenance interventions to generate autonomous maintenance actions, and an intervention simulation engine 107 to generate feasible maintenance interventions and to compute counterfactual post-intervention risk values for at least two feasible maintenance interventions.
