Inventors include Mr. N. Arun Kiran; Miss. Arushi Guha; Mr. Biswarup Mahapatra; Miss. Debadrita Ghosh; Miss. Kusumita Paul; and Mr. Shubham Mukherjee.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a biomatrix automated growth system for cultivating and preserving endangered medicinal plants under controlled environmental conditions. The system comprises an enclosed growth chamber, dynamic light engine, ventilation and filtration assembly, closed-loop water and nutrient delivery assembly, transpiration moisture recovery assembly, root-zone monitoring arrangement, plant stress monitoring unit, control unit, and digital user interface. The light engine regulates illumination according to selected growth requirements, while sensors monitor moisture, nutrient-related parameters, and environmental conditions. A condensation assembly captures moisture released through transpiration and enables its treatment and recirculation for potential reuse. An imaging unit analyses plant characteristics to identify visible indications of stress, while predictive control evaluates sensor observations and supports timely adjustment of operating parameters. The user interface facilitates monitoring, configuration, alert management, and cultivation data review. The integrated system supports controlled plant growth, conservation research, lifecycle observation, and efficient resource utilization while reducing routine manual intervention in the cultivation of endangered medicinal plant species.
