The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: Abstract Biomarkers and Peptide Targeting PI3K/AKT/NF-?B for Prediction, Diagnosis, and Monitoring of acute kidney injury, sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome The present invention provides novel peptides and biomarkers targeting PI3K/AKT/NF-?B for the early detection, risk analysis, diagnosis, and monitoring of acute kidney injury, sepsis, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. In particular, these peptides are useful in the treatment of PI3K/AKT/NF-?B-related diseases. A method for risk detection, early diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of acute kidney injury, sepsis, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in an individual is provided by measuring the amount, level, fold change, and expression of specific biomarkers present in a bodily fluid and comparing them to reference levels of biomarkers from a healthy person, a person previously diagnosed with acute kidney injury, sepsis, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, or an earlier sample from the individual of interest. A point-of-care diagnostic device, assay, system, and a kit for use in the method are also provided.
