Abstract: TITLE: BIOLOGICALLY CALIBRATED ULTRAVIOLET STERILIZATION VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME MICROBIAL LOG REDUCTION ASSESSMENT APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a biologically calibrated ultraviolet (UV) sterilization verification system configured to assess microbial log reduction by correlating measured ultraviolet exposure with biological response for verification of sterilization efficacy. The system comprises a UV dose sensing unit configured to measure ultraviolet irradiance and exposure duration, a biological calibration unit containing standardized biological carriers, a microbial response indicator assembly configured to produce optical, colorimetric, or electronic responses corresponding to microbial reduction thresholds, a data acquisition circuitry configured to collect ultraviolet, biological, and environmental data, a processing unit comprising a microcontroller and memory configured to correlate biological response signals with validated calibration curves for estimating microbial log reduction, and a display and reporting interface configured to present delivered UV dose, predicted microbial log reduction, sterilization status, and pass/fail criteria. The coordinated operation of the system enables biologically relevant, hardware-based, real-time verification of ultraviolet sterilization efficacy through reliable assessment of microbial inactivation.
