MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202443102451 A) filed by Transcell Oncologics Private Limited on December 24, 2024, for Biologically Active Pharmaceutical Composition Targeting Wnt Receptors And Pharmaceutically Active Candidates Against Wnt Biocomplex.
Inventor includes Subhadra Dravida.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: A pharmaceutically active compound as a Wnt transcription inhibitor and a method thereof to inhibit the growth of tumors are disclosed. The pharmaceutically active compound comprises a plurality of small molecules and a macrocyclic/non-macrocyclic compound. The small molecules act as canonical Wnt signaling pathway inhibitors or Wnt transcription machinery inhibitors, which target and inhibit key proteins of b-catenin, TCF/LEF, and CBP. The small molecules also target and inhibit the key proteins of the nuclear transcription complex to inactivate the Wnt signaling pathway in the growth of tumors such as in breast cancer patients. The macrocyclic compound has a tetrahydrofuran moiety sub-structure, which acts as a Wnt/b-catenin inhibitors. (Ref. FIG. 2)
