Abstract: The present invention relates to a microbial crack repair paste for concrete structures utilizing microbial induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) for self-healing and structural restoration. The invention comprises calcite-producing bacterial strains, preferably Bacillus subtilis, nutrient supplements, calcium chloride, cement, fine aggregates, and water formulated into a bioactive repair paste. Upon application onto cracked concrete surfaces, microbial activity induces calcium carbonate precipitation, thereby sealing cracks, improving compressive strength, reducing permeability, and enhancing structural durability. The invention provides an environmentally friendly, sustainable, and cost-effective alternative to conventional concrete repair systems suitable for civil infrastructure, building restoration, and long-term structural maintenance applications.
