Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure may include a method for preparing a hydrophobic layer on a surface, including the steps of o Shredding 5 grams of white paper into small pieces. Embodiments may also include o Placing the shredded paper in 250 ml of water and allowing it to soak for 5 minutes until fully saturated. Embodiments may also include o Transferring the soaked paper to a mixer-blender, blending at 1000 rpm until a smooth slurry may be formed, and adding 2 ml of acetic acid during blending, resulting in a light blue solution in some cases. Embodiments may also include o Separately dissolving 5 grams of starch in 50 ml of water, adding 100 ml of water, and heating while stirring until the starch may be fully gelatinized.
