Abstract: The present invention discloses a bioadhesive oral mouthwash formulation compnsmg hyaluronic acid, gallic acid, glycerin, xylitol, polysorbate 20, sodium benzoate, peppermint oil, and purified water. The formulation is specifically designed for the management of peri-implantitis by combining the regenerative and bioadhesive properties of hyaluronic acid with the antimicrobial and antioxidant effects of gallic acid. The mouthwash demonstrates enhanced retention in the oral cavity due to its bioadhesive nature, thereby improving therapeutic contact time with affected tissues. The preparation involves hydration of hyaluronic acid, dissolution of gallic acid with the aid of a solubilizing agent, sequential mixing of excipients, pH adjustment to a physiologically compatible range, and filtration. This invention provides a non- invasive, cost-effective, and patient-friendly adjunctive therapy for the maintenance of dental implants and management of peri-implant diseases.
