Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a bioactive regenerative obturator for management of alveolar cleft defects. Conventional obturators primarily provide mechanical closure without contributing to tissue regeneration. The proposed device comprises a customized obturator with a hollow regenerative chamber positioned adjacent to the cleft site. The chamber is configured to accommodate biodegradable scaffolds, platelet-rich fibrin, growth factors, or other regenerative biomaterials. Micro-perforations along the defect-facing surface facilitate interaction between the regenerative material and surrounding tissues, promoting localized tissue formation. The device provides simultaneous defect closure, structural stabilization, and a controlled microenvironment for regeneration. This dual-function system integrates prosthodontic rehabilitation with guided tissue regeneration, potentially reducing the need for secondary bone grafting or enhancing graft outcomes. The obturator may be fabricated using biocompatible materials or additive manufacturing techniques.
