Abstract: Title: Bio-Responsive Predictive Orthopedic Stabilization System for Seizure- Associated Injury Prevention A bio-responsive active orthopedic stabilization system for preventing seizure-related musculoskeletal injuries is disclosed. The system continuously acquires ECG-derived physiological signals and performs Heart Rate Variability analysis (102) including RR interval extraction, LF/HF ratio evaluation and high-frequency component monitoring and collapse detection to identify pre- ictal seizure-associated autonomic changes. A dual-baseline gating architecture (108) and a motion-validation subsystem (105) differentiate seizure-related physiological instability from ordinary stress or voluntary movement, thereby reducing false activation. Upon detection of a seizure-risk condition, an orthopedic stabilization controller (111) activates a rapid rigidification mechanism (106) associated with an active orthopedic brace positioned around vulnerable joints. The brace dynamically transitions from a flexible state to a rigid protective state using electro-active polymers (209), shape-memory materials or pneumatic micro-bladders to prevent seizure-induced dislocations, fractures and orthopedic trauma. Following post-ictal recovery detection, the brace automatically returns to a flexible operating condition.
