MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101509 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 22, 2026, for Bio-Responsive Furniture System For Continuous Stress Modulation Using Non-Contact Neuromodulation.
Inventor includes Siddharth Arora.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-responsive furniture system that autonomously reduces stress through non-contact neuromodulation. The system integrates a furniture platform with embedded contactless biometric sensors that continuously monitor physiological parameters including heart rate, respiration, posture, and thermal variations. A local control unit, assisted by AI and machine learning algorithms, analyses these signals to classify stress states and predict physiological trends. Based on this analysis, a multi-modal actuator array comprising vibroacoustic transducers, electromagnetic field emitters, airflow micro-nozzles, and thermal micro-modules delivers personalised, low-intensity bio-resonant stimuli without requiring physical contact. A closed-loop feedback mechanism continuously adjusts stimulus parameters to optimise relaxation. The system operates autonomously, maintains user comfort, and can be seamlessly integrated into chairs, beds, loungers, or other furniture configurations, offering an adaptive and unobtrusive approach to stress modulation in everyday environments.
