MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110394 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 14, 2026, for Bio-Intelligent Soil Drones For Microbiome Balancing In Agriculture.

Inventor includes Siddharth Arora.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Bio-Intelligent Soil Drone System designed for 5 autonomous soil microbiome management in agriculture. The disclosed system integrates soil sampling probes, real-time microbiome sequencing modules, artificial intelligence- based analysis engines and precision bio-agent dispensing units. The drone autonomously collects soil samples, analyzes microbial diversity through embedded sequencing technology and compares the results with reference microbiome profiles. Based on 10 identified deficiencies or imbalances, the system deploys targeted beneficial microbial consortia or suppressive bio-agents at precise soil coordinates. The AI engine further updates a dynamic soil microbiome map and learns over multiple crop cycles to improve predictive interventions. This invention provides a sustainable, chemical-free and adaptive approach to enhancing soil fertility, improving crop resilience and reducing dependency on 15 synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
