MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641075778 A) filed by Ajith S; and Dr Jai Singh W on June 18, 2026, for Bio-Inspired Ai Enabled Robo-Bee Pollinators For Sustainable Tomato Cultivation In Polyhouse.
Inventors include Ajith S; and Dr Jai Singh W.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) enabled autonomous robo-bee pollination system configured for sustainable tomato cultivation within controlled polyhouse environments. The system comprises an unmanned aerial robotic platform integrated with onboard imaging modules, environmental sensing units, AI based flower detection and pollination analysis engines, navigation modules, and bio-inspired pollination actuation mechanisms. The invention enables autonomous identification of flower maturity stages, intelligent navigation within GPS denied greenhouse environments, targeted pollination using controlled vibration mechanisms, and adaptive environmental interaction for optimized pollination efficiency. The AI processing module is configured to analyze floral characteristics, environmental conditions, and pollination parameters for improving crop productivity and reducing dependency on manual pollination techniques. The invention further facilitates precision pollination, reduced labor dependency, sustainable agricultural operations, and enhanced tomato cultivation efficiency in protected agricultural infrastructures.
