Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-insecticide formulation specifically designed for the management of aphid populations, particularly Myzuspersicae, in Brassica crops such as Brassica oleracea var. botrytis. The formulation comprises a garlic extract derived from Allium sativum bulbs and a basil extract from Ocimumbasilicum leaves and stems, both processed using methanol to isolate potent active compounds including allicin, eugenol, linalool, and methyl cinnamate. These extracts are combined to produce a synergistic effect that disrupts aphid neural pathways. The formulation further includes a surfactant to enhance adherence to plant surfaces and water as a diluent to create a sprayable solution. The surfactant can be selected from nonionic, anionic, or cationic types, ensuring effective application and coverage on plant parts. The method extracts active compounds with methanol, mixes with water and surfactant, and applies via spray for effective aphid control in Brassica crops.
