MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541025339 A) filed by Besticides Minerals Private Limited on March 20, 2025, for Bio-Fertilizer Composition For Enhanced Plant Nutrition And Growth.

Inventor includes Duggineni Bhaskara Rao.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multifunctional bio-fertilizer composition (100) comprising nitrogen-fixing bacteria (101) such as Azotobacter spp., phosphate- solubilizing bacteria (102) such as Bacillus spp. or Pseudomonas spp., and potassium-mobilizing bacteria (103) such as Frateuria aurantia. Each microbial strain is suspended in a liquid carrier medium containing stabilizers, buffering agents, and optionally bio-stimulants like humic acid or seaweed extract, with an encapsulation matrix for controlled release. The composition (100) enhances nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium availability by microbial action, improving plant root and shoot development, nutrient uptake, and crop productivity. It is applied via dilution (110) through seed treatment (111), root dipping (112), foliar spraying (113), or fertigation. The formulation is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and suitable for organic farming, offering a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilizers. The figure associated with abstract is Fig. 2d.
