Abstract: ABSTRACT BIO-ADAPTIVE FIELD-OF-VIEW MODULATION SYSTEM FOR EXTENDED REALITY ENVIRONMENTS A bio-adaptive field-of-view modulation system (100) for mitigating simulation sickness comprises a wearable biometric acquisition unit (110) detecting electrocardiographic biopotentials and extracting successive cardiac R-R intervals, a peripheral processing module (120) computing a time-domain heart rate variability metric from successive R-R interval differences and transmitting the metric as a telemetry stream via a wireless communication interface, a spatial computing device (130) executing a real-time graphics rendering engine with a visual frame render loop, and a bio-adaptive rendering control module (140) establishing a personalized autonomic baseline by aggregating the received metric during a calibration interval, computing a physiological distress state as a function of deviation from the baseline, normalizing the distress state into a bounded scalar control variable, and modulating peripheral visual rendering parameters based on the control variable, wherein modulation is applied during detected parasympathetic withdrawal and reversed as the user's autonomic state recovers.
