Abstract: One embodiment of a bill deposit and withdrawal apparatus comprises: an upper module including a deposit and withdrawal unit having a space for inputting or receiving bills during a deposit or withdrawal, and a temporary storage unit, provided on one side of the deposit and withdrawal unit, in which the bills are temporarily stored; a lower module provided below the upper module and having a deposit-dedicated cassette and a plurality of recycle cassettes in which deposited bills or bills to be withdrawn are stored; a transit transfer module which is connected to the rear side of the upper module and transfers bills being replenished or collected; a replenished/collected bill evaluation section in which whether the bills being replenished or collected are abnormal is evaluated by a plurality of sensors provided on a transfer path of the bills being replenished or collected; and a transit cassette which is connected to the transit transfer module and stores bills to be replenished into the plurality of recycle cassettes or bills collected from the plurality of recycle cassettes.
