MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621027476 A) filed by Castnx Private Limited on March 09, 2026, for Bidirectional Power Conversion System For Transfer Of Power With Energy Storage System From Power Grid.

Inventors include Seal, Monojit; Gurjer, Lokesh; and Modi, Manoj.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: A bidirectional power conversion system (100) and method (200) for providing transfer of charging power with an energy storage system (150) from a power grid (110) are disclosed. The bidirectional power conversion system (100) comprises a three-phase active front-end (AFE) converter (130) connected to the power grid (110) for converting alternating current (AC) power to direct current (DC) power and vice versa, a bidirectional interleaved buck-boost DC–DC converter (140) connected between a common DC bus (170) and the energy storage system (150) as a DC load, such that the three-phase AFE converter (130) maintains at least near-unity power factor at the terminals of the power grid (110) and the bidirectional interleaved buck-boost DC–DC converter (140) comprises multiple parallel phases operating with phase-shifted control signals (PWM) to reduce current ripple and enable fast bidirectional transfer of charging power with the energy storage system (150) from the power grid (110).
