Abstract: The present invention proposes a task-based pedagogical framework aimed at enhancing spoken English proficiency among rural engineering students. In the context of globalized education and employment, effective oral communication has become a critical skill for engineering graduates. --However, -students from rural backgrounds often -face -signifieant challenges due to-limited exposure to English, vernacular-medium schooling, and lack of communicative learning environments. These constraints lead to low confidence, anxiety, and poor fluency in spoken ·English, thereby affecting academic performance and employability. The invention utilizes Task- Based Language Teaching (TBLT) as a core methodology to promote interactive, learner-centred communication. It integrates_ structured speaking tasks such as group· discussions, role plays, presentations, and problem-solving activities within a supportive, lowanxiety environment. The framework incorporates technology-assisted learning tools, peer collaboration, and culturally relevant content to enhance engagement and accessibility. Data collected through observations, interviews, and reflective journals demonstrate significant improvements in fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary usage, and learner confidence. The invention addresses linguistic, psychological, and socio-cultural barriers by transforming passive learning into active communication practice. It is adaptable to resource-limited rural institutions and scalable across technical education systems. By bridging the gap between technical knowledge and communicative competence, the framework enhances employability and prepares students for global professional environments. This invention contributes to inclusive t.. education by empowering rural learners with essential communication skills required for academic and professional success .
