Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a NeuroPIN behavioural biometric authentication system (100) for touch-enabled devices. A gesture-PIN interface (2) receives a user-selected sequence comprising tap, double-tap and/or long-press gestures, while a gesture event detector (3) records gesture types and timestamps. A multi-parameter feature extractor (5) derives press duration, inter-gesture delay, double-tap interval, rhythm relationships and timing variance. A normalization module (6) generates a normalized behavioural vector, and a similarity scoring engine (7) calculates per-feature deviations and a weighted percentage-based similarity score. An adaptive tolerance controller (8) adjusts per-feature acceptance windows within security bounds. An anomaly detector (9) evaluates failed-attempt history and abnormal behaviour. An authentication decision module (10) grants or denies access according to sequence correctness, adaptive threshold satisfaction and anomaly state. A guarded profile refinement module (11) updates the behavioural profile only after high-confidence successful authentication, thereby accommodating gradual genuine timing drift while limiting template poisoning and avoiding biometric hardware.
