Abstract: Behavioral Interaction-Based Real-Time Smartphone Addiction Risk Assessment System The present invention relates to a computer implemented system for real-time smartphone behavioral addiction risk assessment using behavioral interaction data obtained from a mobile device usage statistics interface. The system comprises an event acquisition module, a feature extraction module, a Behavioral Addiction Risk Index (BARI) computation module, and a prediction module configured to generate behavioral addiction risk predictions from smartphone interaction patterns. The feature extraction module derives behavioral features including daily smartphone usage duration, nocturnal usage duration, social media usage duration, phone check frequency, and number of applications used. The system further implements a debounce- based phone check identification process for distinguishing genuine phone pickups from application switching events using a predefined time interval. The BARI computation module performs server-side dataset-relative normalization and on-device threshold-based normalization for real-time behavioral risk computation. The invention enables continuous smartphone behavioral monitoring and real-time behavioral addiction risk assessment through an integrated event-driven processing framework.
