Abstract: The present invention relates to a behavior-aware self-healing file sharing system utilizing blockchain and decentralized identity implemented as a dedicated hardware- based network security device for securing file-sharing operations in networked environments. The system combines decentralized identity (DID) authentication, continuous user behavior analysis, encrypted distributed storage, blockchain-based immutable logging, and intelligent access control within a single hardware platform. It authenticates users using decentralized digital identities, continuously evaluates user behavior to identify abnormal or unauthorized activities, and dynamically adjusts access permissions based on calculated trust scores. Files are encrypted before being stored across distributed storage nodes, while every authentication event, file transaction, and security action is permanently recorded on a blockchain to provide tamper-resistant audit trails. Upon detecting suspicious activities, the system autonomously initiates self-healing actions, including restricting access, updating permissions, re-encrypting sensitive data, and isolating affected resources, thereby improving data confidentiality, integrity, availability, and overall network security.
