MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511016993 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 26, 2025, for Bed Resting Assistive Device For A Physically Challenged User.
Inventors include Keshchandra Singh; and Dr. Manoj Rameshachandra Vyas.

Abstract: A bed resting assistive device for a physically challenged user, comprises of a rectangular frame 101 adapted to be positioned on bed surface, a rectangular plate 102 for providing a back support to the user, a microphone for receiving an audio command from the user regarding positioning the plate 102 at a steeper or a flatter angle, a pair of sliding units 104 installed on two lateral portion of the frame 101 to translate two elongated rods 105for supporting the plate 102 at various angles with respect to the frame 101, an imaging unit 110, installed on the plate 102 to determine a rearward head position of the user, a rectangular tray 107 for providing headrest, and a pair of rigid L-shaped bars 111 for providing arm rest to the user wherein, foam coating is disposed on the bars 111 for comfort.
