The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart bed system designed to help users wake up on time and avoid oversleeping. The system includes pressure sensors placed inside the mattress, a vibration unit, a bed-adjustment mechanism, and a cooling airflow module controlled by a programmable controller. At a preset wake-up time, the mattress begins to vibrate to alert the user. If the user remains on the bed, the head section of the bed is automatically raised to encourage the user to sit up. If occupancy is still detected, a cooling airflow is directed towards the user to further promote wakefulness. The pressure sensors continuously monitor whether the user has left the bed. The wake-up sequence stops only after the user has been out of the bed for a predefined period. If the user returns to the bed during the monitoring period, the system automatically restarts the wake-up process. The invention provides an effective and reliable method for improving wake-up compliance through a combination of occupancy detection and progressive physical interventions.
