Abstract: A beam measurement method and apparatus, which can improve the data transmission reliability and the transmission performance when a terminal device communicates with a network device by means of a beam. The method comprises: a terminal device sending first request information to a network device, receiving first response information from the network device, and receiving a measurement reference signal from the network device after a first time offset starting from a sending moment or a receiving moment of the first response information, wherein the first request information is used for requesting the initiation of a measurement reporting process, and the first response information is used for indicating that the network device agrees to initiate the measurement reporting process.
