Abstract: ABSTRACT BATTERY SAFETY MONITORING SYSTEM WITH WIRELESS HAZARD DETECTION A battery safety monitoring system (100) comprises a transmitter node (110) positioned at a battery installation site. The transmitter node (110) comprises a microcontroller (112), an electrical sensing interface (114) configured to measure voltage and current of a battery (10), a temperature sensor (116) configured to measure temperature, a fire sensor (118) configured to detect flame, a gas sensor (120) configured to detect smoke or gas, and a first wireless transceiver (122). The microcontroller (112) acquires sensor data from the electrical sensing interface (114), the temperature sensor (116), the fire sensor (118), and the gas sensor (120), computes a composite hazard index based on weighted contributions from the sensor data comprising a multi-parameter function of voltage deviation, current fluctuation, rate of temperature change, gas concentration level, and flame detection signal, and transmits the sensor data and composite hazard index via the first wireless transceiver (122).
