Abstract: ABSTRACT BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-THRESHOLD STATE-OF-CHARGE BASED CONTROL WITH AUTHORIZATION-DRIVEN OPERATION CONTINUATION The present invention relates to a battery management system (100) for a rechargeable electrochemical energy storage system comprising a monitoring arrangement (102) configured to determine state-of-charge of one or more electrochemical cells, a threshold management arrangement (104) configured to detect a threshold event at a predefined state-of-charge threshold gate, an operation control arrangement (106) configured to interrupt charging or discharging in response to the threshold event, and a continuation management arrangement (108) configured to restore battery operation under a selected continuation mode upon receipt of an authorization input, wherein the threshold gates are independently enforceable. The invention further relates to a method (200) comprising monitoring (202), detecting (204), interrupting (206), receiving (208), and restoring (210) battery operation, enabling structured multi-stage control with authorization-based continuation, independent threshold enforcement, and improved operational traceability.
