Abstract: Abstract Battery-Health-Aware Solar Cold-Storage Supervisory Control System The present invention relates to a battery-health- aware solar cold-storage supervisory control system for coordinating photovoltaic energy, battery condition and thermal demand. The system comprises a photovoltaic power-generating subsystem, an electrical energy-storage unit, a controllable cooling subsystem, electrical sensors, a chamber-temperature sensor, a battery-state estimation arrangement and a supervisory controller. The controller determines available photovoltaic power, battery state of charge, battery state of health and chamber thermal demand and selects a permissible cooling operating state based jointly thereon. The cooling subsystem is selectively operated under solar-supported, battery-supported, energy-conservation or battery-protection conditions. Battery-supported cooling is restricted according to predetermined battery energy and health limits to reduce excessive discharge and degradation while maintaining the chamber within an allowable temperature range. The system thereby provides coordinated energy and thermal management for portable and off-grid solar-powered cold-storage applications.
