The BDU includes a Battery Management System (BMS) and a power supply, enhancing volumetric energy density. The design features top-accessible connections and mounting for simplified installation. A stack-up PCB arrangement optimizes space, while a sensor measures system current. A relay and resistor connected in parallel to a contactor control current. The base plate, made from thermoplastic material, provides isolation for high and low voltage components. The BDU is suitable for automotive applications.
