Abstract: A battery diagnostic method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a method for diagnosing a battery having a positive electrode using an active material, and includes the steps of: generating a differential profile indicating a correspondence relationship between a differential capacity, which is the derivative of the capacity of the positive electrode with respect to the potential of the positive electrode, and the potential of the positive electrode; generating a plurality of Gaussian curves that form a curve corresponding to the differential profile when combined; using the plurality of Gaussian curves to generate diagnostic information about the redox reaction amount of one or two or more elements among a plurality of different elements included in the active material; and diagnosing the battery on the basis of the diagnosis information.
